PYP GENERAL REGULATIONS
What is it?
The Primary Years Program is an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning, where teachers’and students’ questions direct the learning. The focus is on the acquisition of essential knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes using the required State of Michigan benchmarks. ALL students at Lone Pine are considered a part of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

  • Connects classroom learning to the world outside of the classroom so that students gain an international perspective for an ever-changing world
  • Requires a consistency of quality unit and assessment design that is monitored by the IBO
